SUBJECT:
“THE LOUD ABSENCE: WHERE IS GOD IN SUFFERING?” JOHN LENNOX, PROFESSOR: AN OXFORD MATHEMATIAN’S DISCOURSE WITH HARVARD MEDICAL STUDENTS

Indulge yourself! Listen to his entire remarkable presentation from the beginning. WOW!
At the heart of Christianity there is a cross! What is God doing on a cross? Shows me, God does not remain distant from human suffering, but becomes part of it with us. And the God that suffered on the cross rose from the dead! Could a good God have made a world in which there is no suffering? Yes, but you and I would not be in it because it would empty the world of something very precious – our capacity to love. The capacity to love requires our capacity to choose, to say “yes” and “no.”
